Diversity in Acidity between Core and Pulp of Asian Pear Fruit Is Mainly Regulated by the Collaborative Activity of PH8.1 and DIC2 Genes during Fruit Development

The pear (Pyrus pyrifolia) is an important accessory fruit in which the core tarter than pulp. However, reason for acidic and diversity taste of same not clear. In this study, we observed that citrate contents were three times higher pulp, while malate content decreased along with development was significantly lower pulp at 110 days after flowering. Overall transcript levels citrate-malate synthesis-related genes increased more early development, degradation-related activity nearly similar or non-significant between during development. lesser accumulation compared to DAF possibly due reduced tDT2 gene. Regarding accumulation, identified five p-type H+-ATPase found relative expression level PH8.1 gene four-fold Moreover, di-carboxylate carrier 2 (DIC2) constantly addition, correlation analysis signified two DIC2 positively correlated contents. These results suggested collaborative played a key role thus, help molecular breeding tools, can be optimized divers improved flavoring.
